Kazakhstan - Type Approval: Overview

Kazakhstan is a member of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), and telecommunications and electronic products entering the Kazakh market must comply with EAEU Technical Regulations. The Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development of the Republic of Kazakhstan is the regulatory body which issues certificates after local testing.

For RF products mandatory conformity assessment is required in the form of Declaration of Conformity (DoC). This declaration confirms that products meet essential requirements for market entry into Kazakhstan.

All testing must be conducted in Kazakhstan accredited laboratories. Once issued, the product can be legally placed on the Kazakhstan market.

A key regulatory requirement is the presence of a local legal entity. The Declaration of Conformity must be held by a company registered within Kazakhstan, which acts as the local applicant and declaration holder.
The Declaration of Conformity is valid for up to 5 years, offering long-term market access.

The overall certification timeline is typically around 2 to 4 weeks, starting from the submission of complete documentation and product samples.
