The Electronic and Postal Communications Authority (AKEP) regulates Albania's electronic communications, postal services, and radio spectrum.

Because Albania’s regulatory framework is harmonized with European Union legislation specifically the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) wireless and telecommunications equipment with valid CE conformity documentation and does not require a separate national type approval or local laboratory testing.

To enter the Albanian market, devices (including Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, mobile, IoT, and RF equipment) must meet all applicable RF, EMC, and safety requirements, which are demonstrated through standard technical documentation and CE marking.
