Serbia MIT - Type Approval: Overview

The Ministry of Information and Telecommunications (MIT) is the central government body responsible for the regulatory framework of electronic communications in the Republic of Serbia. While the Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Postal Services (RATEL) continues to manage spectrum and market supervision, the MIT oversees the implementation of the latest rulebooks that govern how ICT and radio equipment are certified for the Serbian market.

While Serbia continues to move toward full integration with EU standards, a national Certificate of Conformity (CoC) remains a mandatory requirement for legally placing radio and telecommunications equipment on the market. This process is designed to be efficient, primarily utilizing existing CE/RED test reports to verify compliance with national technical requirements. No local testing is required to enter the Serbian Market.

Standard processing times for MIT-regulated approvals generally range from 2 to 3 weeks. We simplify your entry into the Serbian market by managing the transition to new procedures, ensuring your technical documentation meets the latest MIT requirements and navigating the shifting regulatory landscape with precision.
