Kuwait - CITRA Type Approval - Overview

The Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) is the Kuwait's National regulator responsible for the supervision, reviews and Type approvals of the Radio and Telecommunication equipment prior to any commercial use, import and/or production of such equipment in Kuwait supervising Wireless Regulatory Compliance.

Kuwait CITRA accepts European (EU) test standards, specification and CE marking for the evaluation and grant of CITRA Type Approval. All wired and non-wired Telecommunication and Radio equipment requires mandatory CITRA Type Approval.

While samples are not required compulsorily, Authority has the right to ask for samples for inspection/examination purposes during the CITRA Type Approval application evaluations.
