On May 12, 2022, the Communications and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) in Kuwait issued Resolution No. 88 of 2022, approving amendments to the Wi-Fi Regulations. These changes are effective from the date of publication. 

The new regulation specifically covers the requirements for both unauthorized and authorized operation of WLAN devices.

With this approval, Kuwait joins other countries in enabling the use of Wi-Fi 6E, which operates in the 6 GHz frequency band as per below details:

Allowed Wi-Fi 6E band : 5925-6425 Mhz

Allowed Power limit : 200 mW

This development is significant for improved wireless connectivity and faster data transfer speeds in Kuwait.
