The Communication and Information Technology Regulatory Authority (CITRA) has signed a contract with Future Integrated Technologies for Communications Equipment Company to implement the Automated Spectrum Monitoring and Analysis System, a national project designed to modernize spectrum management in Kuwait.

The system will enhance real-time spectrum monitoring, detect unauthorized use, and locate harmful interference, ensuring efficient use of spectrum resources. It will also introduce an integrated control center, fixed and mobile monitoring stations, handheld devices, and service quality measurement tools to cover all residential and border areas.

CITRA said the project will improve telecom service quality, strengthen regulatory compliance, and align Kuwait’s spectrum management with international best practices.
