Thailand’s NBTC has opened a public consultation on five draft regulatory announcements related to radar communication equipment, radio communication equipment permitted for general use, and related technical standards.

The proposed updates aim to expand permitted radar applications, revise frequency usage rules, and align Thailand’s regulatory framework with evolving technologies and international standards. Key proposals include expanded use of the 24.05–24.25 GHz band and authorization of the 57–64 GHz band for general use applications, including radar systems.

The consultation period is open from 4 May to 3 July 2026, with a public hearing scheduled for 20 May 2026.
