The Syrian Telecommunications and Post Regulatory Authority has announced that devices operating only on 2G and/or 3G networks will no longer receive approval after 1 October 2026.

Importers and suppliers are instructed to shift toward 4G/LTE-capable devices as Syria moves to modernize its mobile network infrastructure.
