The update adds new testing methods for FDD (Frequency Division Duplex) and carrier aggregation, helping ensure 5G devices are tested under the latest technical requirements.

The revised standard took effect on 24 July 2026. The previous version will remain valid until 24 January 2027 to allow a smooth transition.
