The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has officially invited applications for Mobile Virtual Network Operator (MVNO) licenses following the approval of the national MVNO Policy Framework by the Federal Cabinet. Under the framework, MVNOs will be permitted to offer mobile services under their own brand through agreements with licensed mobile network operators.

PTA stated that licenses will be issued for a period of 15 years, subject to compliance with applicable regulatory requirements. The initiative is expected to enhance competition, encourage innovation, and expand consumer choice in Pakistan's telecommunications sector.
