The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced an upgrade to its Device Identification, Registration and Blocking System (DIRBS) aimed at improving services for both consumers and commercial entities.

According to PTA, the upgraded in-house system is designed to simplify the device registration process and enhance overall user experience.

As part of the upgrade, the DIRBS portal and all related services will be temporarily unavailable from 3 July 2026 at 5:00 PM until 6 July 2026 at 4:00 AM.

PTA has advised users and businesses to plan accordingly during the scheduled maintenance period.
