Oman’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has launched a public consultation on Draft Technical Regulations for Connected Vehicles.

The proposed regulations aim to strengthen data privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection in the connected and smart vehicle sector. They include requirements for vehicle-related infrastructure and data stored or transmitted through connected vehicle systems, including provisions for localizing sensitive data within Oman.
