Oman’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has opened public consultations on draft telecom service authorization regulations and local content development guidance.

The proposals cover telecom service permits, local content requirements, SME participation, workforce localization, training, local investment, and supply-chain development. The authorization draft also introduces four permit categories covering manufacturers, systems integration, passive infrastructure, and professional support services.
