Egypt National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA) has published an updated version of its Short-Range Device (SRD) guidelines, which are set to take effect in November of 2024. 1. A new band 6 GHz (5925–6425) MHz has been introduced with allowed Power/ Magnetic field of 250 mW e.i.r.p., designated for indoor applications only. The reference standard of this new band would be EN 303 687.

2. The 1880–1900 MHz frequency band has been added for Radio Microphone applications with a power limit of 50 mW e.i.r.p. This band is strictly restricted to indoor use only.
