Morocco’s ANRT Introduces Labeling Requirements for Approved Equipment

The National Telecommunications Regulatory Agency (ANRT) has reinforced its labeling requirements for telecommunications equipment approved for the Moroccan market. As outlined in Article 14 of Decision Agrément 16-24, all approved equipment must comply with specific marking guidelines before being marketed.

According to the regulation, any equipment that has received prior approval from the Agency must have a legible, clear, and indelible mark

Flexible Labeling Options

To accommodate various product designs and technical constraints, the regulation allows for alternative marking methods. If it is difficult to mark the equipment directly, manufacturers may place the required label on:

  • Supporting documents (User Manuals)

  • Packaging boxes

  • E- Labeling, provided such stickers enable the label to be displayed.

The regulation also emphasizes that the official ANRT approval tag must not be confused with other distinguishing marks, ensuring clarity and preventing misleading labeling practices in the market.

The updated labeling rules reflect Morocco’s ongoing commitment to strengthening regulatory compliance and ensuring transparency in telecommunications equipment approvals. You can find the link to the official document here.
