The Information and Communication Technologies Authority (ICTA) of Mauritius has issued a new decision updating its International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) spectrum framework, opening the 2300–2400 MHz band and making additional spectrum available in the 2500–2690 MHz band to support the continued expansion of 4G, 5G, and future 5G-Advanced services. The decision took effect in June 2026.

The revised framework replaces the April 2026 decision, strengthening spectrum management and supporting greater use of mid-band spectrum for advanced mobile services. ICTA also confirmed that all radio equipment operating under the framework must comply with national Type Approval requirements and applicable international standards.
