Malaysia Registers New MCMC Technical Codes for Wireless Equipment

Malaysia has registered two new technical codes for communications equipment:

• MCMC MTSFB TC T007:2026 – Short Range Devices (SRD) Specifications (Third Revision)

• MCMC MTSFB TC T022:2026 – Communications Equipment – Baseline Requirements

The new codes were registered in May 2026 and include a six-month transition period, becoming mandatory from 5 November 2026. 

Key updates include a new baseline compliance standard, support for the 5925–6425 MHz (6 GHz) band, revised 5 GHz WLAN requirements, expanded UWB provisions, and updated ETSI references.
