Lebanon’s Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has launched a public consultation on the draft “Guidelines for the Establishment of Fiber Optic Networks.”

The proposed guidelines aim to establish a consistent national framework for the planning, design, and construction of fiber optic networks, aligned with international standards and best practices.

The framework is also intended to improve coordination among telecom operators, public entities, contractors, infrastructure owners, and other stakeholders, while reducing unnecessary excavation and supporting broadband infrastructure development.
