Indonesia and Malaysia Strengthen Cross-Border Spectrum Coordination
Indonesia and Malaysia are strengthening cooperation on radio-frequency spectrum management to help prevent interference and maintain reliable communications in border areas.
The two countries are coordinating on policy and regulatory developments, frequency registration and notification, and International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT) frequency bands.
The discussions also cover Digital Trunked Radio Systems (DTRS) in the 380–400 MHz and 410–430 MHz bands, as well as management of the 430–440 MHz frequency band.
The cooperation supports more efficient spectrum use and helps maintain reliable communications services across the Indonesia–Malaysia border.
