"With unparalleled speed, low latency, and enormous capacity, 5G will drive innovation across sectors such as agriculture, health, transport, and manufacturing," she remarked.

The initial 5G rollout will commence in major cities like Accra, Kumasi, and Takoradi, with nationwide coverage expected by 2026. Emphasizing inclusivity, the Minister outlined strategies for rural connectivity through the Universal Service Fund managed by GIFEC, ensuring equitable access.

On cybersecurity, she assured the public that stringent data protection measures, aligned with international standards, are in place to safeguard user information. Additionally, she announced the establishment of a Digital Youth Hub at the University of Ghana to foster 5G-driven innovation, with plans for expansion to other campuses.
