The Agência Reguladora Multissectorial da Economia (ARME) has opened a public consultation on the proposed update of Cabo Verde’s National Frequency Allocation Table (QNAF), running from 23 December 2025 to 30 January 2026.

The update aligns the national spectrum framework with the ITU Radio Regulations (RR-2024) adopted after WRC-23, while responding to increasing demand for spectrum across multiple services.

Key Spectrum Changes

  • PPDR: Identification of 380–470 MHz for Public Protection and Disaster Relief communications.

  • Mobile Services:

    • 2300–2400 MHz

    • 3300–3400 MHz

    • 4800–4990 MHz

    • 66–71 GHz

  • IoT Applications: Allocation of 863–870 MHz, aligned with African Telecommunication Union recommendations.

  • International Alignment: Inclusion of new WRC-23 resolutions and selected ITU Radio Regulation footnotes to improve regulatory clarity.

Consultation Process Stakeholders are invited to submit written comments during the consultation period.

This update represents a significant step toward aligning Cabo Verde’s spectrum framework with global regulatory standards, while addressing the growing demand for mobile broadband, IoT, and public safety communications.
