Brazil’s ANATEL has updated its technical requirements for Wi-Fi 6E and Wi-Fi 7 equipment operating in the 6 GHz band.

From 1 March 2027, certification of WLAN/RLAN equipment will be limited to 5.925–6.425 MHz. The 6.425–7.125 MHz portion will be designated for mobile services.

The change was formalized through Ato No. 10,400 and Acórdão No. 203.

Manufacturers planning Wi-Fi 6E/7 products for Brazil should prepare for the lower 6 GHz range and review existing certifications during their next periodic maintenance.
