The Telecommunications Authority of Trinidad and Tobago (TATT) has published a draft Standard Telecommunications Concession introducing new cybersecurity requirements for telecom operators.

The proposal would require concessionaires to implement risk-based cybersecurity measures, maintain an annual cybersecurity framework aligned with internationally recognized standards, and notify TATT within 24 hours of any material cybersecurity incident affecting public telecommunications services.

The draft also strengthens requirements for network resilience, emergency communications, and disaster recovery, as part of TATT's efforts to modernize the country's telecommunications regulatory framework.
