Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Issues Three Key Decisions on Frequency Bands and Support Service Equipment
The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) has issued three decisions, accompanied by addenda, concerning the use of frequency bands and the regulation of support service equipment for the production of special programs and events.
The first decision addresses the use of the 10.70–12.70 GHz (space-to-Earth) and 14.00–14.50 GHz (Earth-to-space) frequency bands in Aeronautical Earth Stations in Motion (A-ESIM) and Maritime Earth Stations in Motion (M-ESIM) that communicate with non-geostationary satellite systems (non-GSO) operating within the Fixed Satellite Service (FSS).
The second decision covers additional frequency bands, including 17.7–18.6 GHz, 18.8–19.3 GHz, and 19.7–20.2 GHz (space-to-Earth), and 27.5–29.1 GHz and 29.5–30 GHz (Earth-to-space), also applicable to A-ESIM and M-ESIM communicating with non-GSO satellite systems in the FSS.
The third decision focuses on the regulation of support service equipment used in the production of special programs and events, ensuring compliance with technical and operational standards.
These decisions are part of TRA’s ongoing efforts to optimize spectrum use and regulate equipment for both satellite communications and media production applications. For expert insights, feel free to contact us on info@nanotechsol.com.
