Bolivia Updates List of Telecom Equipment Subject to Homologation
Bolivia has released an updated list of telecommunications equipment requiring mandatory homologation, effective 25 February 2026.
The revised framework expands the scope of regulated products to include telephony devices (smartphones, satellite phones), broadcasting equipment (TV and radio transmitters/receivers), and satellite and radio communication systems such as VSAT terminals, gateways, and base station transceivers.
It also covers network infrastructure, including routers, switches, ONTs, and core telecom equipment, along with transmission technologies like DSLAM, CMTS, and optical systems (WDM/DWDM).
Importantly, IoT technologies such as LoRaWAN, RFID, and short-range devices are now included, reflecting the country’s alignment with evolving connectivity trends.
Manufacturers and importers must ensure compliance with these updated requirements prior to market entry in Bolivia. For expert support, contact: info@nanotechsol.com
