Azerbaijan Released Draft RoHS Regulation for Electrical and Electronic Products
Azerbaijan released a draft Technical Regulation on the Restriction of the Use of Certain Hazardous Substances in Electrical and Radioelectronic Products as part of efforts to strengthen product safety and environmental compliance requirements.
The draft proposed RoHS-style restrictions on hazardous substances, including lead, mercury, cadmium, hexavalent chromium, PBB, and PBDE, covering a range of electrical and electronic products, including telecommunications and radio equipment.
The proposal also outlined potential conformity assessment procedures and compliance obligations for manufacturers and importers.
At the time of publication, the technical regulation remained under development and had not been confirmed as officially adopted or entered into force by the Azerbaijani authorities.
