Namibia CRAN Maintains Decision on Starlink Licence Applications
Namibia's Communications Regulatory Authority (CRAN) has upheld its earlier decision regarding Starlink's telecommunications service licence and radio spectrum access licence applications.
According to the regulator, the reconsideration request did not provide sufficient new legal or factual grounds to change the original ruling. As a result, Starlink remains without approval to operate in Namibia.
Starlink, SpaceX's satellite internet service, delivers broadband connectivity through a network of low Earth orbit (LEO) satellites and is expanding across global markets.
The decision highlights the importance of meeting local telecommunications licensing and regulatory requirements when entering new markets. For support with telecommunications regulatory compliance and market access, contact Nano Technology Solutions at info@nanotechsol.com.
