After a suspension of type approval issuance services for the last few months, the Ministry of Telecom and Information Technology (MTIT) in Yemen has completed the implementation of a new type approval system for the country.

Manufacturers and their distributors in Yemen are set to benefit significantly from this new system. The approvals now have an extended validity of two years, a substantial change from the previous one-year validity period. This change applies to both previously submitted applications and those that will be submitted in the future.

Simultaneously, there has been a 200% increase in the fees for newly issued approvals.
