CRA Qatar allows the lower part of 6 Ghz Band (5925-6425 MHz) as part of the Wi-Fi 6E policy text.

In a latest development, the Communications Regulatory Authority of Qatar (CRA) has officially announced the availability and allocation of the lower part of the 6 GHz band (5925-6425 MHz) for the use of RLAN devices. This significant move is in line with the Class Licensing regime specified in the Applicable Regulatory Framework (ARF).

It is important to note that the CRA affirms its support for the allocation of the entire 6 GHz band (5925-7125 MHz) for RLAN devices. However, the final policy statement is contingent upon the outcomes of the upcoming World Radiocommunication Conference 2023 (WRC-23). Particularly, agenda item 1.2, which addresses the upper part of the 6 GHz band (6425 – 7125 MHz) as a potential candidate band for International Mobile Telecommunications (IMT), will be closely observed and considered for future decisions. The policy decision on this can be viewed here.
