As the year-end approaches, regulatory bodies in South Africa are expected to implement their annual holiday shutdown schedules, which could impact application processing and certification timelines.

The Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) is expected to close from 12 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, while the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications (NRCS) and the South African Bureau of Standards (SABS) are anticipated to observe their break from 19 December 2025 to 5 January 2026.

Our Valued clients are advised to plan ahead and submit any pending projects in advance to minimize potential delays. Based on previous years, full operations across all three agencies are likely to resume by February 2026.
