Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has published new Type Approval regulations with the most mentionable change in the revision to the exempt devices list. 

As per the new regulation, only below device categories are exempt from Pakistan PTA Type Approval:

1- Networking Equipments including Switches, Firewalls, servers and storage devices.

2- GPS Only devices

3- Non-Sim Based Laptops/Desktops only
